Already for the second time, POLNORD SA became the main sponsor of the nation-wide competition for a poster and social campaign entitled "Safe kids on roads". This time, organisers (advertisement agency Adah Advertising, Museum of Poster in Wilanów and the Academy of Art) turn the attention parents, local authorities and central administration officials to the safety of kids on roads.
This year, the action is supervised by the Ministry of Infrastructure and the National Board for Road Transport Safety. Its media patrons are the daily POLSKA and the portal digart.pl.
Being sure that a good sign with an apt message may save life, the organisers invited pupils and students of artistic schools and everyone that are not strangers to safety problems to take part in the action "Safe kids on roads".
The initiative enjoyed great interest in the environment of visual artists. The competition was attended by 114 authors who sent 180 posters. The jury composed of Professor Waldemar Świerzy, Professor Mieczysław Wasilewski, Professor Stanisław Wieczorek, Professor Wiktor Jędrzejec, Tomasz Lachowski and Grzegorz Adach chose winners.
The winner of the first price was Eugeniusz Skorwider, of the second price Jerzy Szałaciński, and the third price Rafał Kapcia. The jury also granted five additional awards to Karol Belina Brzozowski (double award), Monika Prus, Maja Borowicz and Bartłomiej Zygmunt Siegmund.
At the second stage of the action, out of competition works, sponsors: Polnord S.A., the Ministry of Infrastructure and the National Board for Road Transport Safety, selected two works that, in their opinion, meet the assumptions of the social campaign in the best way. On media provided by AMS S.A., on 1 August, the work of Paweł Kaczorowski was displayed on billboards and the joint work of Katarzyna Żurawska and Jacek Muszyński was displayed at stops, which started the outdoor nation-wide social campaign entitled "Safe kids on roads". By fixing posters on 150 billboards and 200 citilights in Warsaw, Tri-City, Olsztyn, Łódź, Poznań, Wrocław, Szczecin and Katowice, both organisers and sponsors hope that these actions will contribute significantly to the improvement of knowledge about safety
